Cookie Policy
MeterCall keeps cookies minimal. We set exactly two first-party cookies and nothing else. We embed no third-party analytics pixel, no advertising pixel, no fingerprinting script, and no social-login tracker by default. If we ever need to add one, we will update this page and re-prompt for consent first.
What we set
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Strictly necessary? |
|---|---|---|---|
mc_session |
Keeps you signed in. Stores a random session token linked server-side to your account. Does not contain personal data. | Session (cleared on browser close) or 30 days if you ticked "remember me." | Yes. Strictly necessary to deliver a logged-in Service. |
mc_cookie_consent |
Remembers whether you clicked Accept or Reject on the cookie banner, so we do not nag you. | 12 months. | Yes. Needed to honor your preference. |
These cookies are first-party, sent only to metercall.ai and its subdomains, and they carry the SameSite=Lax attribute and the Secure flag. They are not shared with any third party.
Why we do not set more
We do not run Google Analytics, Segment, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any similar third-party product-analytics library on the marketing site. Our in-product dashboard has minimal first-party telemetry that runs server-side on already-authenticated traffic; no extra cookie is set for it. We do not run Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads, or any advertising retargeting tag. We do not embed third-party chat widgets on pages that can be accessed without logging in. We think the fewer cookies we set, the fewer privacy disclosures we owe you, and the fewer ways a subpoena to a third party can reach your data.
How to opt out
Because we only set strictly-necessary cookies, there is nothing functional to reject. You may still click Reject on our cookie banner; we will set only mc_cookie_consent=rejected and your session cookie will still set on sign-in (without it, you cannot stay logged in). You can also:
- Clear cookies in your browser at any time. We will re-prompt on your next visit.
- Use your browser's "do not track" or "global privacy control" signal. We honor GPC as an opt-out of sale/share under CCPA — we do not sell or share anyway, so the signal is already respected.
- Use a privacy-focused browser (Brave, Firefox with strict mode, Safari with ITP). The Service will work.
Changes to this policy
If we add a new category of cookie, we will update this page, update the cookie banner, and re-prompt for consent before setting the new cookie. We will not quietly add a tracker.
