Acceptable Use Policy
We keep this policy short on purpose. Short rules are easier to read, easier to enforce evenly, and harder to abuse. If you break one, we may suspend or terminate your account, delist your Modules, withhold pending payouts until a claim is resolved, and cooperate with law enforcement. We reserve the right to act first and discuss later when the conduct is clear-cut (malware, CSAM, sanctions, imminent harm). For everything else, we will try to reach you before taking account action.
1. No spam
Do not use the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages, scrape contact lists, harvest emails for third-party sale, or orchestrate follow/unfollow or engagement-farm campaigns on upstream social APIs. Do not publish a Module whose stated purpose is to send unsolicited messages at scale or to circumvent platform anti-spam controls. Legitimate transactional messaging, opt-in marketing, and enterprise outreach are fine.
2. No malware or exploit distribution
Do not host, link, route, or ship through the Service any code that is designed to compromise a device, steal credentials, exfiltrate data without consent, mine cryptocurrency on a victim's machine, encrypt a victim's files for ransom, or evade endpoint protection. This includes Modules that provide a wrapper around such payloads. Academic security research with a responsible-disclosure plan, published advisories, and CVE references is welcome; reach out first at security@metercall.ai.
3. No unlicensed securities or regulated financial products
Do not offer, sell, or market through the Service any security, derivative, futures contract, or money-transmission service that requires a license in the jurisdiction where it is offered, unless you hold that license and can prove it on request. "Offer a Module that claims to predict stock prices" is fine. "Offer a Module that takes customer deposits and trades for them without a broker-dealer registration" is not. "Aggregate betting data and analytics" is fine. "Take the bet without a licensed book" is not; see our plain-English summary. We do not want to be the venue for an enforcement action.
4. No sanctioned jurisdictions
Do not use the Service from, or on behalf of any person in, a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive U.S. OFAC sanctions, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, or any jurisdiction added to that list after the effective date of the Terms. Do not transact with any person on the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals list, the EU consolidated sanctions list, the UK HMT sanctions list, or an equivalent list applicable to you. We screen addresses and IPs at the edge on a best-effort basis . If our screen misses you and you use the Service from a sanctioned jurisdiction, you accept the full risk.
5. No high-frequency abuse of the free tier
Trial accounts exist to let you evaluate the Service. Do not create multiple Trial accounts to exceed Trial limits. Do not rotate API keys, IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or email addresses to stay under a Trial ceiling. Do not wrap the Trial API behind a proxy and resell it. These patterns are the fastest way to get banned; they also hurt legitimate Trial users by forcing us to tighten limits. If you need more Calls, email sales@metercall.ai and we will find a Paid plan that fits.
6. No doxxing through the name service or agent market
Do not publish the home address, workplace, non-public phone number, government-issued identifier, or private medical or immigration status of any natural person through any MeterCall-hosted name service, agent registry, or Module output, without that person's verifiable consent. "This agent is Alice Smith the public-figure CEO of Acme Corp" is fine. "This agent is Alice Smith and here is her home address, her kid's school, and her weekly schedule" is not. Public records do not automatically authorize re-publication when the aggregation creates a new privacy harm. Legitimate journalism, public-interest reporting, and investigations with editorial judgment are permitted; reach out first if you are unsure.
7. No circumvention of metering, billing, or attestation
Do not tamper with Call attestations, forge receipts, replay signed requests, or otherwise try to spoof usage records to underpay or to inflate a Creator's revenue share. Attestation forgery is a material breach.
